biography
Lindsey is a mental health therapist offering telehealth services in the states of Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina. She specializes in the treatment of BFRBs and also treats anxiety disorders, perfectionism, and works with singles navigating the dating world. Lindsey uses a comprehensive, holistic, approach for the treatment of BFRBS rather than viewing and treating the behavior in isolation. She works with clients to understand what is maintaining the behavior, brings awareness to urges, and provides ample relaxation techniques and healthy coping skills. Having personal experience with hair pulling, skin picking, and nail biting when she was younger (and now free from those behaviors), Lindsey loves what she does and is passionate about improving an individual’s quality of life and mental wellness. She is also the author of the BFRB psychology memoir, Life is Trichy as well as a BFRB coaching guide. Lindsey attended several universities across the country, graduated at the top of her class with high distinction from her Masters program, attended The University of Iowa School Psychology Ph.D. Program and did a double practicum placement before transferring to Carlos Albizu University for additional doctoral courses in a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. Program. Lindsey is licensed at the Master’s level. Lindsey's style is warm, compassionate, direct, authentic, and nonjudgmental, which provides her clients the space to access feelings that can be uncomfortable to explore while feeling supported and having ones strengths recognized. Her goal is to create a deep sense of trust and comfort so she and the client together can move into deeper therapeutic work and exploration.
