about the support group

The BFRB (Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors) Men’s Online Support Group is a free, welcoming space for adults 18 or older who identify as men who pull their hair, pick their skin, bite their nails, dermatillomania, or have any other BFRBs to give and receive support. This peer-led group is facilitated by men who also have BFRBs, not clinicians or experts. While the group is designed for individuals who identify as men, those from other gender identities, such as people who identify as non-binary, are welcome too.

Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where participants can share experiences, develop coping skills, and build a sense of community. We recognize that discussing BFRBs can be difficult, and we aim to foster growth and healing through empathy and understanding. Each session includes check-ins, shared experiences, and support—both for challenges unique to people who identify as men and general BFRB-related issues. Participation is encouraged but never required.
