Katherine Gibson

I am a licensed psychologist who is Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. My role as a therapist is to help Children and Families develop the skills they need to manage the challenges they face. An important part of working with Children is making sure parents feel supported, and that parents are also given what they need to feel equipped to support their child. I work with Children, teenagers, and their Families on a wide variety of issues in addition to Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors including anxiety, selective mutism, trauma, OCD, PANS/PANDAS, ADHD, and disruptive behavior problems. I see each family as distinct, striving to identify and employ the most effective treatments available for their particular circumstances and working collaboratively to achieve their goals. I have extensive experience employing cognitive and behavioral treatments with strong research support, including Coping Cat for Anxious Youth, HRT for BFRBs, ERP for OCD, Parent- Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am a certified TF-CBT therapist, and am certified by PCIT International as a PCIT therapist and Within Agency trainer. I am certified by Kurtz Psychology Consulting as PCIT for Selective Mutism Therapist and Within Agency Trainer.
