Massachusetts Area Support Group

A peer support group open to people over age 18 who engage in BFRBs (hair pulling, skin picking or other BFRBs)- currently meeting virtually!
• Generally, we meet once a month from 7PM to 8:30 PM Eastern Time; we send the date and time through email and our private Facebook group.
• We have a drop in format and new members are welcome
• The group's aim is to connect people from the Montreal area but while we hold virtual support groups, anyone with a BFRB is welcome!
• Please contact the group leader for the meeting’s next dates and registration information: Olivia; oliviabfrb@gmail.com

We focus on creating a casual, friendly, non-judgmental, and confidential environment to support each other in healing, surviving and coping with our BFRB issues. The group provides discussion time to share strategies with each other, give each other moral support and sometimes, a bit of healing humor. There's no therapist for this group- we work together to build trust, acceptance, and healing

BFRB Men's Online Peer Support Group

The BFRB Men's Online Peer Support Group serves as a safe space for male-identifying individuals with BFRBs to find support and community. Individuals from other gender identities, such as non-binary individuals, are also welcome to attend, as long as they feel they can benefit from the support group.

We recognize that discussing BFRBs is not an easy subject for everyone; our intention is to provide a safe environment to foster growth and healing through vulnerability, empathy, and understanding.

This peer-led group offers individuals a safe, non-judgmental space to gather for a common purpose, raise awareness, meet others who can empathize, and develop individualized coping skills.

During each session, we conduct check-ins, provide support, resources, and discuss experiences with BFRBs - both experiences unique to being male-identifying and general BFRB life experiences. Participation during the sessions is encouraged but not required if you feel uncomfortable sharing. We hope that when you’re ready, you’ll feel comfortable joining us for a meeting.

Meeting times: Last Wednesday of each month, from 8:30 pm to 10 pm (Eastern), 5:30 pm to 7 pm (Pacific)

All of our support group meetings are held online via Zoom and we require all members to read our Code of Conduct before registering and attending.

If you are registering from your phone or a tablet, make sure to separately select the meeting occurrence(s) you wish to attend from the drop-down menu, as you will use this registration link to register for all online meetings.
